The Victoria Scholars Men’s Choral Ensemble is celebrating a milestone this year – it’s our 25th Anniversary. We promise a season full of beautiful music to touch the soul, along with a few  surprises for our Silver Anniversary.

Our 25th Season opens with Yuletide on the Canadian side, a fitting end to Canada’s 150th birthday featuring a collection of familiar carols and seasonal favourites with a distinctive Canadian flavour, including a number of selections from our two Christmas recordings. In the spring, The Spirit of the Renaissance will feature music by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Thomas Tallis, and the ensemble’s namesake, Tomás Luis de Victoria. Finally, we’ll finish off the musical year with Scholars’ Choice, featuring our favourites and yours, including cherished pieces by Franz Biebl, Benjamin Britten, Eleanor Daley, Tomáš Dušatko, and more.

We look forward to seeing you this year, our Silver Anniversary, and over the many, many seasons to come.

Thank you all for another successful Victoria Scholars season. We’re going to get some rest, enjoy the sun, and listen to some polyphony. Hope..
